Hey guys! I may have mentioned before that I have, like, smaller humans who live with me, and they're kind of needy at times. Well, one of them got sick over the weekend, and it took a while to figure out what's going on with her, but long story short, she's got a wicked case of Fifth's Disease, and thrush, which is just a fancy way of saying "yeast infection," and yes, it's down there, too, so the bottom line is, everyone in this house is suffering her wrath. Hence the lack of blog updates.
So, to recap, I haven't abandoned you, I'm caring for my sick child. Please be patient (at least, more patient than a three-year-old with her first yeast infection) and recaps will resume as soon as humanly possible.
Goodness, I hope she feels better! Being sick is always a bummer when it involves the itty bitty people.

I had fifth's disease when I was fourth grade. My mom sent me to school every day, anyway, until the school insisted I had to stay home until I was fever free for 24 hours. I hope your little one is back up to her 3 year old antics soon.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Fifth's Disease, but I sympathise with Thrush "down there"... I utterly hate the sensation I can only describe as "sand in the vagina"

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I had Fifth's Disease in high school and I can still remember how awful it was. I was freezing cold and had a ton of blankets on, but was so weak I couldn't get up to get more. My mom came home from work and I was crying from being so cold. She took my temperature and it was 104!

ReplyDeleteMy nephew had thrush but it was on his mouth from his mom licking his pacifier trying to "clean it" before putting it back in his mouth....ick.
